Know Your Client. Protect the Platform.
Aurex Limited requires appropriate client identification and verification before providing access to relevant account and investment services. Our AML and KYC controls are designed to establish who our clients are, understand the purpose of their relationship with Aurex, and identify transactions that may require additional review.
Purpose of this policy
This AML & KYC Policy sets out how Aurex approaches client identification, verification, risk assessment and transaction monitoring across the Aurex platform.
The policy applies to clients using or seeking access to Aurex services, including investment activities involving cryptocurrency, stocks and indices, agricultural investment, oil and gas investment, real estate and other services made available through the platform.
Know Your Client (KYC)
Before granting access to certain Aurex account functions, we may require clients to complete identity verification. The information collected is used to establish the client's identity and assess the risk associated with the proposed relationship.
Depending on the client's circumstances and the services requested, Aurex may request additional information or supporting documentation.
Client verification information
The information requested by Aurex may depend on the client's profile, intended use of the platform, investment activity and the level of risk identified during the verification process.
- Full legal name and personal details
- Residential or registered address
- Date of birth or applicable registration details
- Valid identity documentation where required
- Information concerning the intended use of the Aurex account
- Source of funds or wealth information where appropriate
- Additional information relating to account activity when required
- Corporate or beneficial ownership information for applicable entities
Client risk assessment
Aurex uses a risk-based approach when reviewing client relationships. Not every client or transaction presents the same level of risk, and the level of review may therefore vary according to the circumstances.
Normal identity and account verification procedures applicable to ordinary client relationships.
Additional checks or information may be required where elevated risk indicators are identified.
Client information and relevant activity may be reassessed when circumstances change.
Source of funds and transaction review
Aurex may request information concerning the source of funds where the circumstances of an account, deposit, withdrawal or investment activity require additional clarification.
Transaction activity may be reviewed for inconsistencies with the client's known profile, unusual patterns, attempted circumvention of account controls or other activity that may require further investigation.
Transaction monitoring
Aurex monitors relevant account and transaction activity as part of its efforts to identify potentially unusual, fraudulent or prohibited activity.
Monitoring may take into account transaction frequency, transaction size, account behaviour, deposit and withdrawal patterns, changes in account information and other relevant indicators.
- Unusual deposit or withdrawal activity
- Activity inconsistent with the account profile
- Attempts to circumvent verification controls
- Potentially fraudulent account behaviour
- Suspicious transaction patterns
- Activity involving restricted jurisdictions or prohibited parties
Enhanced due diligence
Where additional risk indicators are identified, Aurex may conduct enhanced due diligence before continuing or establishing the client relationship.
Enhanced review may involve requesting additional identity, ownership, source-of-funds or transaction information and may result in temporary restrictions while the review is completed.
Restricted clients and activity
Aurex may refuse account registration, restrict services or decline a transaction where doing so is necessary because of applicable legal, compliance, risk or internal requirements.
This may include circumstances involving restricted jurisdictions, sanctioned persons, suspected fraud, incomplete verification, unexplained source of funds or other activity that presents unacceptable compliance risk.
Account restrictions and reviews
If required KYC information is incomplete, inconsistent or cannot be satisfactorily verified, Aurex may limit certain account functions until the required review has been completed.
Depending on the circumstances, restrictions may affect deposits, withdrawals, investment activity or other account functionality.
Records and confidentiality
Information collected through the Aurex verification and compliance process is handled in accordance with applicable privacy, confidentiality and record-keeping requirements.
Access to client information is limited to authorised personnel, service providers or other parties where access is appropriate and permitted or required by applicable obligations.
Completion of KYC verification does not mean that every transaction or account activity will automatically be approved. Aurex may request additional information or conduct further reviews whenever required by the circumstances of a client relationship or transaction.
